We love The Highlands! The area is filled with history, community events, and irreplaceable businesses. We adore The Highlands because it’s one of Northwest Denver’s original neighborhoods with charm, personality and shops you won’t find anywhere but here.
A little northwest of Downtown Denver, the Highlands neighborhood offers a convenient shopping, dining and living. Denver visitors and locals flock to the area to enjoy the convenience of the city living but with a laid back neighborhood vibe. Some of Denver’s favorite events happen in The Highlands.
- The Highlands Farmer’s Market every Sunday in June through September
- The Highlands Street Fair every June
- Holiday In The Highlands every December
The area is bursting with a mixture distinctive architecture, including bungalows, classic cottages and really a bit of new construction as well. There are three diverse districts to discover: Highlands Square, Tennyson Street and Lower Highland (LoHi).
You’ll find restaurants, boutiques, bookstores around Highland Square on West 32nd Avenue and Lowell Boulevard. Tennyson Street is perfect for finding the latest photographs and paintings from local artists–and it has some amazing live music. LoHi is is known for its mix old and modern architecture. LoHi has some some of the city’s coolest restaurants, and beautiful views of downtown Denver.
